Brenda Anderson is the author of “Jerimoth T. Davies, Goatman” —Solarcide’s latest guest feature.
From supernatural showman and viral sensation to island prisoner and author from the future, the story of Jerimoth T. Davies is an oddity of optimism and quite the adventure.
“Jerimoth T. Davies, Goatman” can be read here.
Be sure to visit us again in a couple of weeks when we interview crime author Richard Godwin and discuss his novel Portrait of an Assassin.
In the meantime, enjoy the Goatman!
Women Who Love Monsters is the new anthology from Lori Perkins of Riverdale Avenue Books and the L. Perkins Agency. Women Who Love Monsters features “Lamia” by Nathan Pettigrew. Lamia is known in Greek Mythology as a child-devouring monster and female vampire, but Nathan’s story “Lamia” turns that noise on its head. A tie-in special to the anthology will air on HBO on March 28th, titled Monster Fantasies. Viceland’s Slutever interviews Riverdale authors Cecilia Tan, Laura Antoniou, and Trinity Blacio among others.
Women Who Love Monsters is Available in Print and Digital.
Also in the erotica world, NASTY: Fetish Fights Back from Anna Yeatts and Chris Philips of Flash Fiction Online is now available on iTunes with Bonus Content, including links, photos and music. NASTY features stories from New York Times Bestseller Selena Kitt, Shirley Jackson Winner Gemma Files, five-time Bram Stoker Award Winner Lucy A. Snyder, and Solarcide’s own Nathan Pettigrew. His story “DWDC” is featured.
Rolling Stone spotlighted NASTY in an article titled Trump Erotica, worth checking out in today’s political climate.
NASTY for iBooks with bonus content is Available Here.
On the Horror and Crime front, FunDead Publications is having Kindle Book Sale through March 17th. Kindle versions of 3 FunDead books are only .99 cents for a limited time!
Those titles include Night in New Orleans, featuring Nathan Pettigrew’s “The Farwell Quarter” and the kindle editions of Shadows in Salem and O Horrid Night.
Solarcide appreciates your support. Be sure to visit again in late March / early April, when we’ll feature our next guest story from Brenda Anderson.
The Goatman is Coming!

Justice is served in The Mud Jury—Read it Here and Enjoy!
My new story “The Red Tie” is featured in the latest issue of Stoneboat.
Stoneboat 7.2 “Beyond Red and Blue: Voices for America“ is a special issue of the literary journal dealing with the current political divide in our country. My story “The Red Tie” sees a family torn apart when a young man loses the trust of his mother over political and social differences.
Other news: my story DWDC appears in the NASTY anthology from the folks at Flash Fiction Online, and the anthology is spotlighted in an article at Rolling Stone.
The support of those who visit this site is very much appreciated, and I’m thrilled that it’s still going after these past six years.
On our featured story front? Submissions for April have closed and we will be going live with a new story soon. Check back toward the end of the month.
The new Night in New Orleans anthology from FunDead Publications is Available Now through Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
Night in New Orleans features my story “The Farewell Quarter” —a Crime and Horror tale about a young man running from a dark and tragic secret—but all secrets are exposed in the French Quarter when our protagonist crosses paths with a psychic gypsy and an unhinged stranger.
